My 18th Birthday

I am smiling,
I am 18 today.
I am no longer crying,
All my problems have gone away.
Its my 18th Birthday.

My best friend Sophie,
Is not here with me,
But she is in my heart,
where she'll forever be.
On my 18th Birthday.

My little nephews,
have been here today,
They have made me laugh and smile,
In every single way.
For my 18th Birthday.

I am a quiet person to be truthful,
I never had many friends at school.
I wasn't always the happiest person in my class,
But today,
Its my 18th Birthday,
and the bad times are in the past.

I look around me now,
I realise who i really am.
I am a happy young lady,
I can't work out how,
I have all i ever wanted.
And some day maybe.
You'll love me like i love you all.

Its my 18th Birthday.
Look at what i've got,
it might not be alot.
But its all i can ask for,
i'd never want more.

My Nephews, Michael and Kevin,
My friends Nicola and Rachel.
The one person i really care about,
My best friend Sophie.

Its my 18th birthday.
And now i will say,
I love you all in every way.

Thankyou for making this the best day ever,
i'll never hate you, no never.
Even though you're not here right now,
I love you lots, so hard to explain how.
