I guess you could say I am happy with my life
Of years this was my twenty-first
Twenty-one long years of being me
In my complexity since birth.
This year was indeed a long one
With land marks quick and fast
So many good times and such laughter
I wish I could have made it last.
My family I miss you so much
Ever since I moved away from home
But I've moved onto bigger and better things
Now that I am older and I have grown.
I'm with my man my better half
Who has made my life complete
I love him so much I packed up and moved
My heart knows we were destined to meet.
The little one is growing just as fast
He's learning and changing everyday
His vocabulary is expanding rapidly
He has got so much he wants to say.
I have also lost some old friends
But I have in turn made plenty anew
The joy and times we've shared so far
Makes we wonder what I used to do.
My career progression has slowly built
I find myself dedicated, and working so hard
But I have so many inspired brilliant ideas
I really need to focus so they can start.
All in all I have had an absolute ball
This year a muck was certainly run
I look back in these pages of memories
And smile when I think of twenty-one.
