One day in every year
An occasion spend with someone dear
The day to celebrate our birth
Into a world we call earth
Let's party and dance
Before we miss this chance
Reminiscing yesteryear
And moments that make us cheer
To an elf-like lady friend,
Not much of a gift, this poem I hand
A novice attempt in making
Yet, what mattered is the giving
